EXPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
TRAINING ON “RISK MANAGEMENT ON EXPORTING TO CHINESE MARKET” HAS BEEN ORGANIZED

At the request from National Committee on Industry, in cooperation with the Customs General Administration, Mongolian Customs Consultancy and Brokers NGO and Customs office in Zamyyn-Uud, EDP has organized a training on “Risk Management on Exporting to Chinese Market” in Zamyyn-Uud soum of Dornogovi aimag.
 

Over 50 participants of Zamyyn-Uud SMEs have participated including the local exporters that export agricultural raw materials, value added products particularly wool and cashmere products through Zamyyn-Uud border crossings and Association of small and medium enterprises of Zamyyn-Uud soum and small and medium enterprises of Sainshand soum.


Through the training, participants were informed about EDP goal and activities and its and training related ongoing activities, and Matching Grants including eligible and ineligible activities/costs, Export Development plan, as well as  project introduction brochures and manuals were handed out.

Training were led by the state customs inspectors of Media and Training and Research of the Customs General Administration, and gave a common understanding about the importance of the “Authorized Economic Operator” to be implemented by the Government, main features of a comprehensive program on “International Trade Facilitation and Safety.


The “Authorized Economic Operator” program is a trust-based activity that provides some exemptions to exporters for the purpose of ensuring customs, foreign trade safety, trade facilitation and the development of customs-business partnerships. The implementation of the program will increase the competitiveness of business entities and organizations and the reputation of Mongolia in facilitating foreign trade at international level and  attract the foreign investment.


Moreover, Mongolian Customs Consultancy and Brokers NGO have introduced two types presentations on “Opportunities to Increase Exports using E-Commerce” and “Advantages of E-Commerce and Preventing its Risks”.


At the end of training, SMEs have evaluated that training subjects, contents and presentations have provided important information for them and satisfied their needs.

TRAINING ON “METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING EXPORT DEVELOPMENT PLAN-18” IS CONDUCTED

On 9 of January 2019, the training to provide methodology for developing “Export Development Plan”, one of the key documents of the Matching Grants sub-component of the Export Development Project, was delivered at to representatives of around 20 entities involving existing exporters and those wishing to be future exporters.  

“MONGOLIAN EXPORTERS-2018” E-CATALOGUE

Export Development Project (EDP) has cooperated with Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) to produce “Mongolian Exporters-2018” E-Catalogue to support exporters in accessing into the new markets, promote their products and services, expand their market and establish communication with foreign partners. It is presented in exporters.mongolchamber.mn website and printed onto a CD.

On 21 of December 2018, the training to provide methodology for developing “Export Development Plan”, one of the key documents of the Matching Grants sub-component of the Export Development Project, was delivered at to representatives of around 25 entities involving existing exporters and those wishing to be future exporters.  

DECISION IS MADE TO AWARD MATCHING GRANTS TO ENTERPRISES

On 06 Dec 2018, at its routine 16th meeting the Evaluation Team reviewed the Export Development Plan (EDP) submitted by 22 enterprises and arrived at the decision to submit their proposals to the Ministry of Finance.
