EXPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
THE NATIONAL TRAINER – PROFESSIONAL GUIDES HAVE RECEIVED INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATES

In May 2018 in collaboration with the Mongolian Professional Tourist Guide Association (MPTGA), Export Development Project successfully organized the training to prepare national trainers of "World Federation of Tourist Guide Association" in Mongolia by inviting Mrs. Iris Barry, an international senior trainer of the Association.


During today’s ceremony, 12 successful graduates received an international certificate on “Trainer of trainers” issued by the "World Federation of Tourist Guide Association".


As a result of the training, Mongolia has professional trainers with the capacity to provide international standard training for over 500 guides through 9 sessions in upcoming 3 years.
Mrs. Bayanjargal, the President of MPTGA, emphasized that the training was a valuable tool for the strengthening of human resources in Mongolia's tourism sector. She also expressed her sincere gratitude to our co-organizer and graduates.


The graduates’ information has been entered in the “World Federation of Tourist Guide Association” and are now registered trainers of the Association.

According to the statistics of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC, 2017), Mongolia's tourism sector accounts for 3.7 percent of GDP and is projected to increase by 2.8 percent by 2028.

Part of the matching grant facility is to support exporter and export intender SMEs by the delivery of quality service and product standards international level. 

TRAINING ON “METHODOLOGY FOR DEVELOPING EXPORT DEVELOPMENT PLAN-18” IS CONDUCTED

On 9 of January 2019, the training to provide methodology for developing “Export Development Plan”, one of the key documents of the Matching Grants sub-component of the Export Development Project, was delivered at to representatives of around 20 entities involving existing exporters and those wishing to be future exporters.  

“MONGOLIAN EXPORTERS-2018” E-CATALOGUE

Export Development Project (EDP) has cooperated with Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) to produce “Mongolian Exporters-2018” E-Catalogue to support exporters in accessing into the new markets, promote their products and services, expand their market and establish communication with foreign partners. It is presented in exporters.mongolchamber.mn website and printed onto a CD.

On 21 of December 2018, the training to provide methodology for developing “Export Development Plan”, one of the key documents of the Matching Grants sub-component of the Export Development Project, was delivered at to representatives of around 25 entities involving existing exporters and those wishing to be future exporters.  

DECISION IS MADE TO AWARD MATCHING GRANTS TO ENTERPRISES

On 06 Dec 2018, at its routine 16th meeting the Evaluation Team reviewed the Export Development Plan (EDP) submitted by 22 enterprises and arrived at the decision to submit their proposals to the Ministry of Finance.
